Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and safely transfer patients using proper lifting techniques.
- Administer prescribed medications and document patient responses and behaviors.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition to the charge nurse or RN immediately.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment.
- Support patients during meal times and assist with feeding if required.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Georgia.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
