Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient conditions
- Assist with mobility transfers, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises
- Administer medications under RN supervision per facility protocols
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop patient plans
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active DC Nursing Assistant certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent CNA experience in long-term care or acute care
- Current BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Proficient in electronic health record documentation systems
- Clear background check and negative TB/health screening
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
