Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance to residents.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients safely using proper techniques and assistive devices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs and concerns.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and bending.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not always required.
- Clean criminal background check and drug screening required prior to employment.
