Your Role: Deliver personalized care to elderly residents, assisting with daily living activities while maintaining dignity and independence. Work every weekend (Sat/Sun) with potential holiday coverage.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and document vital signs, food intake, and behavior changes
- Assist with mobility transfers using proper techniques
- Administer medications under RN supervision
- Maintain clean resident environments and infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and emergencies
Qualifications
- Active Virginia CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year long-term care experience preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds with proper techniques
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Compassionate approach with geriatric population
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Negative TB test and background check required
