Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in accordance with facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, patients, and families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nurses (if qualified).
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required or willingness to obtain.
- Previous experience in long-term care, hospital, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
