Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in accordance with facility standards.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA license in the state of North Carolina (or compact state eligibility).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and transfer patients.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine passion for helping others.
