Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Support patients with transferring, walking, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation as required by facility policies and state regulations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff to ensure a continuum of care.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in implementing emergency care plans.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a current and valid CNA certification from the State of Arizona.
- Current BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Genuine compassion and a desire to help others.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift, bend, and assist patients with mobility as needed.
