Responsibilities
- Delicate patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Accurate monitoring and documentation of vital signs and patient condition changes
- Assist with therapeutic treatments and rehabilitation exercises
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during challenging times
- Collaborate with RNs and physicians to coordinate care plans
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Virginia CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year acute care or hospital experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Proficient in electronic health record documentation
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass background check and drug screening
