Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations in electronic health records
- Administer medications under RN supervision and assist with treatment plans
- Support residents with cognitive impairments using person-centered care techniques
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize resident outcomes
- Maintain clean, safe environments and infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to resident requests and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Current California CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care or assisted living
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Clear TB test and physical examination within last 6 months
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
