Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate significant changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Prepare and serve meals while ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment to prevent infection.
- Document daily care activities and patient interactions accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current and active Colorado CNA license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification must be maintained.
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or acute care preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-first attitude and high emotional intelligence.
- Reliable transportation to the Colorado Springs facility.
