Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team regarding patient conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Texas CNA license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- CPR certification is a plus.
