Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues using walkers, wheelchairs, or assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment to prevent infection.
- Document patient updates and care plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient conditions.
Qualifications
- Current Texas State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (active on the Nurse Aide Registry).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility, hospital, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor with a focus on patient dignity.
