Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transfers and walking assistance.
- Administer medications and document patient responses accurately.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, doctors, and family members regarding patient status.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (State of Maryland).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs) with assistance.
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to patient well-being.
- Reliable transportation.
