Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vitals, and health history assessments.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean environment.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens (phlebotomy) with precision.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage confidential patient records and assist with billing documentation.
- Coordinate patient follow-up care and appointment scheduling.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or NCMA).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
