Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist Medical Staff: Support nurses and physicians with patient rounds, charting, and treatment procedures.
- Hygiene and Comfort: Ensure patients maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment throughout their stay.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes, concerns, and needs to the nursing team and family members.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe facility.
Qualifications
- Current CNA Certification: Must hold a valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Texas.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required for top candidates.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassion: A strong commitment to patient privacy and dignity.
