Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and on time.
- Assist with patient mobility, including transferring and ambulating patients safely to prevent falls.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary requirements and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Illinois State CNA license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
