Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring and ambulating safely using proper techniques.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and families regarding patient conditions and changes in status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the licensed nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new procedures.
