Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes, concerns, or incidents to the nursing staff immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment and sanitize equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow medical protocols and procedures.
