Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring from bed to chair.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team regarding patient status and concerns.
- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) must be maintained.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Driver’s License (if driving is required for the role).
