Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide basic wound care and perform catheter care as directed by the nursing staff.
- Communicate patient status changes and updates to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Support patients emotionally and provide companionship during their stay.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
