Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist registered nurses and licensed practical nurses with medical procedures, treatments, and medication administration as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment to prevent infections and ensure comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Support patients emotionally and physically during their recovery process and hospital stay.
Qualifications
- Valid and active California CNA License required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Strong understanding of infection control and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients of varying weights with proper body mechanics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Compassionate, patient-focused mindset with a strong work ethic.
