Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Monitor patient hygiene needs and assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent bedsores.
- Communication: Communicate patient status changes and concerns to registered nurses and physicians promptly and clearly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in compliance with hospital policies.
- Assistance: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and monitor for any signs of distress or infection.
- Emergency Response: Respond to patient emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current, active CNA License in the state of Florida required.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers (ACLS preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
