Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and treatments, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Communicate patient status and concerns effectively to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses and document all care activities accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist patients with heavy lifting when necessary.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
