Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and monitoring vital signs under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Assistance: Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and daily living activities to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Communication: Document patient conditions and care plans accurately and communicate changes in patient status to nurses and physicians.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and assist with personal hygiene tasks.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient calls and assist during medical emergencies as trained.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered CNA certification in the state of Wisconsin.
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
