Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform vital signs measurements and collect specimens for lab testing
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Electronic health record (EHR) maintenance and documentation
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean exam rooms
- Assist with patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
- Manage inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
