Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as prescribed by the nurse.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and supervision.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and families regarding patient status and needs.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
