Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed physicians and registered nurses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with health department regulations.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Tennessee CNA License required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
