Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to prevent falls and injuries.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA License in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or medical facility is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine commitment to patient well-being.
- Reliable transportation and availability for varied shifts.
