Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Support patient mobility by assisting with walking, transfers, and using wheelchairs or walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals, adhering to dietary restrictions and special feeding requirements.
- Communicate any changes in patient condition or behavior to the registered nurse or supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and interactions accurately in medical records.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required; or willing to obtain certification upon hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, transfer, and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
