Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care with bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, fluid intake/output, and patient observations
- Assist with medication administration under RN supervision
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop/update care plans
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments following infection control protocols
- Support emotional well-being through companionship and active listening
- Participate in patient transfer and transportation activities
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year long-term care or hospital experience preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with proper techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, weekends)
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation
- Pass background check and drug screening
