Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Prepare patients for medical procedures and assist with wound care as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document all care activities and patient interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory for new graduates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate nature with a focus on patient advocacy and dignity.
