Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care plans, observations, and changes in condition accurately in medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
