Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: Support nurses and medical staff with wound care, catheter care, and other basic medical procedures as directed.
- Monitor Patient Status: Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition, mood, or behavior to the nursing team immediately.
- Transport and Mobility: Safely assist patients with mobility issues, including walking, transferring to beds or wheelchairs, and using mobility aids.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including care plans and daily logs.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and organized.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or GED is required.
- CNA Certification: Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or completion of a state-approved CNA program is required.
- Entry-Level Friendly: No prior professional work experience is required; we value attitude and aptitude over experience.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients, and perform physical tasks required in patient care.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred or required within 30 days of hire.
