Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transferring using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Document patient care activities and update medical records accurately.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and family members regarding patient conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current State of Maryland CNA Certification and valid licensure.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
