Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients following physician orders and strict safety protocols.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
- Assist the supervising pharmacist in medication management, inventory control, and quality assurance checks.
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and educating patients on medication usage and potential interactions.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and computers efficiently.
Qualifications
- Current California Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of EHR systems.
