Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and pharmaceutical supply chain logistics
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA and FDA regulations
- Train new pharmacy technicians on compounding protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico Pharmacy Technician certification
- Minimum 2 years compounding pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Rx30)
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding USP 797 standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Valid CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
