Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, dispense, and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain precise patient records and medication profiles in pharmacy management systems
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing efficiently
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and potential side effects
- Inventory management including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license or certification (PTCB/ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmaceutical terminology
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and data entry experience
