Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and compound pharmaceutical preparations
- Verify patient information and insurance details for prescription processing
- Maintain precise inventory management and controlled substance documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize workflow and ensure compliance
- Utilize pharmacy software systems for prescription entry and record-keeping
- Assist in training new pharmacy technicians and maintaining compliance standards
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and drug interactions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
