Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient counseling
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and pharmacy regulatory standards
- Operate pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for prescription clarification
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and automation systems
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Background check and immunization verification required
