Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide medication counseling to patients and healthcare staff
- Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Assist in sterile compounding of IV medications
Qualifications
- Current PTCB certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Texas Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
