Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to state and federal regulations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Operate automated dispensing systems and maintain sterile compounding environments
- Provide exceptional patient consultations on medication usage and potential side effects
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication discrepancies and optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medication safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex medical information
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Valid Nebraska driver's license and reliable transportation
