Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Verify patient information and insurance details for compliance
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Utilize pharmacy software for record-keeping and billing
- Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification (CPhT)
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmacy laws
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Valid Washington DC pharmacy technician license
