Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of pharmaceuticals
- Process insurance claims and manage third-party billing systems
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1) for prescription processing
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication inquiries
Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license required
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-pressure settings
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
