Responsibilities
- Accurately process and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain precise electronic health records and prescription documentation
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and strict adherence to pharmacy protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication regimens
- Operate pharmacy technology including dispensing systems and POS terminals
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT)
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and drug interactions
- Certification in CPR and basic life support (BLS)
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Attention to detail with zero-error medication dispensing
