Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceuticals
- Process insurance claims and assist patients with prescription benefits
- Maintain sterile compounding areas and adhere to USP 797 standards
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing systems (e.g., QS/1, Rx30)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems
