Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, dispense, and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and compounding sterile/non-sterile preparations
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and adherence
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA, FDA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficient in pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid DC Pharmacy Technician license
