Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage
- Provide medication counseling and OTC product recommendations
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV preparations
- Utilulate pharmacy software (eRx, QS/1, Omnicell)
- Train new technicians on standard operating procedures
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician license (PHT-1)
- 1+ years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- CPhT certification through PTCB
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Proficient in pharmacy management software
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred)
