Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with medication questions and provide basic counseling.
- Operate pharmacy automation equipment and computer systems (e.g., Rx30, PillPack).
- Process insurance claims and handle co-pay transactions.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Active Oregon State Board of Pharmacy Technician license.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Previous experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
