Your Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for the purpose of medical testing, donation, or research. You will work closely with our nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and sample integrity.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws accurately and efficiently.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Label, log, and prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Manage inventory of supplies and ensure phlebotomy equipment is sterile and functional.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate specimen collection.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be willing to participate in our paid training program and obtain certification.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- CPR certification is a plus but not required for training candidates.
