Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with precision and efficiency
- Maintain strict sterile protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Manage inventory and equipment sterilization processes
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams in fast-paced OR settings
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Train on robotic surgery systems (da Vinci) and advanced imaging tech
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in Level I trauma center
- Expertise in orthopedic, neuro, and general surgery specialties
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient safety protocols
- Ability to adapt to remote collaboration tools and digital workflows
- Excellent communication skills for hybrid team coordination
- Valid Wisconsin surgical tech license
- Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred
